INTRO: The colour and glamour of this October’s Armor All Gold Coast 600 is well and truly underway. Today V8 Supercar stars joined beach butties to unveil the Miss V8 Supercars Grid Girl Uniforms. PACKAGE: Defending two-time V8 Supercar Champion Jamie Whincup and Darwin pole winner Alex Davison of IRWIN Racing crashed through the waves of Burleigh Beach to escort the grid girls to their first public showing of the locally inspired, designed and manufactured outfits. The 2010 look is designed to connect the Miss V8 Supercars program with the iconic Gold Coast event and V8 Supercars’ official ambassador P!nk. Armor All 600 boss Shane Howard says the grid girls are a key part to the Gold Coast race. GRAB SHANE HOWARD Gold Coast designer, Karen Neilsen is delighted with both the swimsuit and grid outfits. GRAB KAREN NEILSEN Not usually fashion experts, both Whincup and Davison gave the designs their stamp of approval. GRAB JAMIE WHINCUP GRAB ALEX DAVISON The Miss V8 Supercars grid girls of the Armor All Gold Coast 600 will be part of the official search for the Face of V8 Supercars. The race will be run on the streets of Surfers Paradise October 22-24.
